FAQ — aka: Everything You’ve Ever Wanted to Know

Easiest way: download the SESSION Pilates app.

Due to our cancellation / no-show policy, we do require that all clients have a valid credit card on their account. To add or update your CC information, simply login to your account > Payment Methods via the SESSION Pilates app!

Want to join our Drill Sergeant (front desk) team or learn more about instructor auditions? Click here!

Our standard 50-minute Session works for all fitness levels — from beginners to seasoned pros. Instructors offer modifications and advancements throughout class. So whether you’re easing into it or looking to level it up, we’ve got you.

Once you have a minimum of 40 Sessions under your belt, we’ve got a little challenge for you…

Our 60-minute Advanced Session = extra spice, extra shakes.

Our 60-minute Advanced Session is the only different class type that we offer for those clients who are looking to level up. We rotate through some of our veteran instructors to bring you some extra spice and SESSION shakes. Disclaimer: The Advanced Session is NOT beginner-friendly. Because of the fast-paced nature of our Advanced Session, we require that you have taken a minimum of 40 classes at SESSION before joining us. With your safety and best possible experience top of mind, we do not allow pregnant or first-time clients to take our Advanced Session.

If you already take SESSION and feel good moving — and your doctor clears you — yes! Tell the Drill Sergeant (front desk) or your instructor so we can note your account and support you with modifications or adjustments throughout your pregnancy and postpartum.

If you’re pregnant and new to SESSION: You’re required to take our Pregnancy & Pilates Workshop first. This workshop is offered quarterly and can be found on the class schedule in the SESSION Pilates app. Once you’ve taken that workshop — and with your doctor’s okay — you’re good to keep moving with us. Questions? Email us:  info@sessionpilates.com and we’re happy to chat through it more!

Minimum age: 14.
Ages 14–17: parent/guardian must sign online waiver HERE.
Ages 14–16: parent must attend or stay on-site.

Annual (1-Year Unlimited): 45 days
Monthly Unlimited (1- & 3-Month): 30 days
Credit packages + single credits: 14 days

Pro tip: Use your booking window to your advantage. Things can get wild!

You may cancel anytime before 12 hours from the start of your session with no penalty and no lost credits. If you have an unlimited membership and cancel within 12 hours from the start of class or no show, you will receive a $20 cancellation fee. If you have a credit package and cancel within 12 hours from the start of class or no show, you will lose the credit that you booked with rather than receiving a penalty fee.

The waitlist closes 14 hours before class starts. This is so that anyone who is added to class from the waitlist has time to cancel outside of our 12 hour penalty window. This means that you will know if you have made it into a class from the waitlist a minimum of 14 hours before class starts. You will receive an email if you make it into the class. If you booked with a class credit and you do not make it into class, the credit will be returned to your account once the class is complete.

Once the waitlist is closed (14 hours before class), if a last-minute spot opens in the class it will automatically become available to book by anyone. Translation: Keep an eye out for last-minute cancellations!

First-timers: Arrive 10 minutes early so we can show you the ropes (and the reformer).
Not your first rodeo: Aim for 5 minutes prior.

If it’s your first class and you arrive after class starts, we’ll need to reschedule you — safety first!

Life happens. We’ll hold your spot for 5 minutes. But if you’re more than 5 minutes late, we sadly can’t let you in. Please know that we still love you. It’s not to be harsh — it’s about safety and keeping the class vibe intact.

UPTOWN

You may park in our parking lot, which is along the side of our building—on the corner of Cole and Fitzhugh. If those are all occupied, you can park curbside along Cole Avenue or in the Maison Chinoise parking lot. If it is after 4PM, you may valet park *complimentary* at Maison Chinoise if you let them know that you are going to SESSION Pilates. If self-parking at Maison Chinoise before 4PM, please make sure to use the far right side of the lot rather than parking in front of the retailers closest to the studio. (You may not park in front of Salum, across the street at Sigel’s or in any of the other business parking lots surrounding the studio.)

LOVERS LANE

Construction is crazy, but we’re here to make it easy: CLICK HERE. You may park anywhere in the shopping strip along Lovers Lane that is not designated for 15-minute parking. Do not park in the lot to the left of our studio that is designated for Chip’s Old Fashioned Hamburger. **Please be mindful of construction along Lovers Lane during the Miracle Mile Improvement Project and plan extra time for parking.

LAKEWOOD

Anywhere! There is ample parking throughout Hillside Village Shopping Center.

PLANO

Take your pick! We have plenty of parking along the front of the studio, as well as along the sides of the building. Please do not park in any spots that are designated for Tacodeli.

FRISCO

Anywhere! There is parking right in front of (and around) the studio.

PRESTON ROYAL

Anywhere! Parking is plentiful, but it does get busy around lunchtime. Give yourself a few minutes to find parking!

GREEN HILLS

You can park in the parking lot that is right in front of our studio on the corner of Abbott Martin and Bandywood. *Make sure you are in the parking lot with The Wine Shoppe that is facing Trader Joes rather than on the backside that faces Bandywood. Should our parking lot be full, we have additional parking under 5.11 Tactical, which you can enter off Bandywood right behind Trader Joes.

Anything you can move freely in. Think athleisure. Sticky socks are required for safety + sanitary reasons. Don’t have a pair? We sell real cute ones for $15 in the studio.

Absolutely. While not required, we do sell water in the studio for $3.

Lockers? Yes. Showers? No. But don’t worry — we keep plenty of products on hand so you can freshen up post-shake.

Short answer: Nope! You don’t need a private before joining a group class. Our instructors are pros at adjusting for all levels — newbies and gurus included.

However… If you have chronic back pain, joint issues, or another medical condition, a one-on-one private might be a great idea to assess what’s best for you. When in doubt, talk to us. We’re happy to help you figure it out.

First, create an account if you do not already have one. Then email us at info@sessionpilates.com with as much information about why you’re interested in a private. We’ll get back to you with more information and next steps. Please know that all privates are hosted at our SESSION Headquarter space in the Dallas Design District.

Yes — as long as it’s the same day; same studio; same instructor.

If it’s a different instructor or a different day, the cancellation policy applies. (Let us explain! If we were to move you to a different class with a different instructor, the original instructor will no longer get paid for your spot.)

Tell us before they expire, and we’re happy to extend them. Once they’re expired… we can’t bring them back. (We wish we could.)
We are not able to freeze unlimited memberships for anything other than a medical reasons accompanied with a doctor’s note.

The 1 Month Unlimited and 3 Month Unlimited memberships renew indefinitely unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. Please note that you must fulfill your three-month obligation before you are able to cancel a 3 Month Unlimited Membership. (The 1 Year Unlimited Membership is a one-time payment and does not automatically renew.) You may cancel your membership directly within the app or by emailing info@sessionpilates.com.
